Day Services

Day Programs

Women putting together a puzzleDay Programs provide a variety of meaningful activities including community outings, socialization experiences, paid work and volunteer opportunities, along with recreation/leisure activities. Services are available to individuals who receive residential services through Citizen Care, people served by other service providers, and to adults who live at home with their families.

Training & Outsourcing Center

A pre-vocational workshop that offers paid opportunities and learning that pave the way for small group employment settings. The workshop is tailored to provide support to people who are not yet ready for competitive employment but are working to improve their skills and maximize their level of work performance through paid contract work, with the anticipated outcome of integrated employment in the community. Contract work, which is obtained from area businesses and industries, includes avariety of packaging, mailing, assembly and rework services, as well as binding and laminating.

Walden Senior Center

Participants develop hobbies, pursue leisure interests, and enjoy interpersonal relationships within a relaxing environment. The program is modeled closely to “generic” senior citizen centers, with an emphasis on choice. Activity areas include orientation/socialization, physical fitness, nutrition, communication, daily living and special events. In addition, every effort is made to involve individuals in activities within the local community.
